Well, I saw your post on your "Project X" topic on the Splash Damage Forums, and you said that your computer was "old, especially the video card".
Like I said, no one has reported any fps problems to me other than you. So, it might be a good idea to upgrade your computer.
EDIT: I see that you are using Windows 7. I used to have unusual fps problems on my Windows 7 computer too, until I made these changes: viewtopic.php?f=123&t=2676&start=15#p27506

But the map is not optimized

I usually have no problems with the FPS at the Wolf

So, are you still having the fps problems?
I compiled both maps without the -vis option, because -vis caused some areaportals to stop working. Maybe this was a bad idea?

There is one door on the first map, and a few doors on the second map. All of them have a working areaportal inside them.
At least players won't have any fps problems with both maps, unless they have driver problems or an old computer. I need to use -vis from now on, no matter what.

Hello, Mates.
I use GtkRadiant 1.2.11 and these lines command (bsp_BSP, -vis -fast, -light) to compile my levels and i have not any problems using hint and areaportal textures.

Nice walkthrough. About the hint texture, I don't know how to use it properly. I read on other mapping sites that the hint texture can cause problems if it's not used correctly.

Hint texture must be placed on the map out of sight of the player, this texture can not have holes and the area to be optimized must be built with structural walls and also can not holes or fissures.

Ronboy, do you remember the links about problems with hint texture?

Don't worry about it. Since Horrors of Hell will be my last work, I don't need to use the Hint texture.

Melc_av, yes, most likely. I feel that my time as a mapper needs to come to an end soon. Don't worry, because I will at least finish Horrors of Hell first. :)

Thanks for all your work. However, it is petty because you and Vicpas was most active on rtcw sites and this game was kepted alive by you in specialy. I'm afraid that without your support this game will die soon. Scuse me bad english.
