I would stick with the first version of this mod, because the new version seems too broken and buggy. :(

I very sad, really a lot of bugs. Over the earlier version. More hours in my day and i can see i'm testing. I wrote about this splashdamage forum.

This does not happen, Ron. I can tell you this as someone who plays the game on a regular basis, as I mentioned in my other post, we have our own RTCW COOP server. As server Admins we can obviously create our own settings, we have our server set in this way:

AI Respawn - yes

AI Reinforce - many

Skill - hard

The action is intense and the traditional RTCW atmosphere remains too. We now have RTCW COOP players on our server who have never played RTCW SP and I can tell you, thanks to teamspeak, that they have the same levels of fear and shock when they encounter their first Loper or Uber Soldat, you should hear their screams on teamspeak :D .

As for the bugs, I will tell what I have found. The main bug seems to be that on a few maps the Axis AI fail to perform certain tasks that they would normally do in the traditional RTCW SP. For example, on "Escape 2", (Castle Keep), at the end of the map the Axis AI fail to open the castle door which prevents you from completing the map. On "Rocket Base" they fail to open a certain door, with the same result. On "Kugelstadt", where you have to save the scientist, again the Axis AI fail to open the gate that gives you access to the scientist and his team.

The vast majority of maps do not have this bug and can be played to completion. My favourite map is "Norway", fighting against the Black Guard, the action is non-stop. Once this bug is eliminated RTCW COOP will go from strength to strength. As I've said many times, I personally believe that this mod is the best thing to happen in Wolfenstein since the release of Wolfenstein Enemy Territory.

We play late at night on our "Nightmare" server, if you see us there then please join us, you won't be disappointed by what you experience.

UPDATE:

I just received a pm from Schnoog over on Splatterladder regarding a free RTCW COOP server for the Volfshantse Community. Schnoog said that he would be very pleased to host a free server for you and he will set it up soon. The name of your server will simply be, "Volfshantse", which you can change when you receive your Admin server login password.

When your new server is up and running I will post the details for you. I hope that many of you will test this new mod for yourselves and realise it's great potential. You are very talented mod and map makers here at Volfshantse and to have your input would be very much appreciated.

I apologize for my opinion being untrue. I just thought the atmosphere, mainly the "creepy" atmosphere, would be no more in the coop mod. I guess that on certain servers, the atmosphere can still be present. :)

It's as creepy as ever, Ron, especially on our server :) . I was fraggin' there last night with one of the guys from the (1944)Clan and he got trapped in a stairwell with 2 Lopers, he just managed to escape and then wrote in global chat, "Man, I nearly sh*t myself there!" :lol: .

Сегодня дома соорудил сетку из трёх компов и хотел с детьми зарубиться. У малого на компе видяха ATI x700, старая, но для таких делов вполне годится. При запуске игра начала на OpenGL материться, хотя он у меня стоит, да и дрова такие-же, как и на моём компе. Попробовал запустить ЕТ - идёт нормально, другие Вольфы, включая Викторс - тоже без проблем... Посмотрел логи - оказывается аффтары мода по дефолту поставили r_mode 3, со своим каким-то непонятным широкоформатным разрешением, которое старая 15 инчевая Лыжа, ясен попец, не поддерживает. Поставил r_mode 1 - игра нормально запустилась. Если кто словит проблему с OpenGL - лезте в C:\Documents and Settings\бла-бла-бла\Мои документы\RtcwCOOP\main\wolfconfig.coop.cfg, ищите r_mode и играйтесь со значениями, единица соответствует разрешению 800 на 600 в моде. Авторам, кстати, было-бы целесообразно, выставить дефолтное разрешение по умолчанию, которое полюбе схавают любые мониторы, а не ставить щирокоформатное. Но это думаю скорее про@б, чем специально, делали под себя и забыли поменять.
